  They won't tell you how much simple procedure will cost (skin checks, etc., by a PA). When you get th bill and fork over a week's wages (1100+) for 10 minutes of looking you over, you'll know what I mean. I had the identical items taken care of (skin check, very small plug biopsy) with my primary care physician for around $135 plus $70 for pathology. I go to a specialist in Longmont now that charges slightly more for the same services as well. Kallgren's staff also performed and charged me for tests I specifically instructed them not to. While they acknowledged that they agreed to not perform the tests per my request, they did so anyway and insisted I had to pay them anyway after the fact for a totally pointless pathology test in the opinions of both skin doctors I asked about the issue afterwards. In addition, the pointless test was billed at a rate *exhorbitantly* higher than the clinic I go to now. In fact, the other clinics I called to inquire on pricing didn't even come close to the rate I was charged at Kallgren. Kallgren might actually demonstrate some sort of value for some niche- I'm not sure what it is. It isn't basic skin health needs. If you are looking for good communication, clear pricing, and to establish a relationship for basic ongoing skin health care needs, I would definitely try someone else. My health is important to me. I'm willing to pay a lot to safeguard it. The services rendered by Kallgren were not worth $1100 by any stretch of the imagination for a routine checkup, even in Boulder. Maybe even in Aspen.
