Customer Reviews about Red Tail Wellness Center

  • Dr. Ian saved my family members life. When they became ill with Lyme disease and autoimmunity to the brain I knew who to send them to. He went through so carefully and completely that total healing has occurred. This was not just some jargon that is rehashed in all the autoimmune paleo books. This was very specific tailored to what she needed and we felt so taken care of. Thank you again Dr. Ian and staff. You've changed our lives.

My experience with Dr. Ian at Redtail Wellness did not result in significant improvement. I came to him, desperate for help chronic lower back muscle tension (I assumed caused by lumbar stenosis diagnosed through an MRI), brain fog/memory issues, poor sleep/extreme fatigue, and chronic gall bladder discomfort/pressure. I already knew I had low thyroid/Hashimoto’s. After the introductory lab tests and consultation. I spent an additional $6545 for treatments, lab tests, and supplements, followed by another approximately $1000 in supplements over a 6-month period. Improvement with any of my issues has been slight at best, and now I feel As a mid-60s woman with reasonably good health and diet to that point (April, 2017), I found the most effective “treatment” I received was putting myself on the Redtail Wellness food plan—reducing starchy carbs, sugars, high-glycemic fruits—which resulting in weight loss and a significant lowering of my cholesterol numbers. I didn’t receive a great deal of support from the office, however. I just took their binder of information and used it. After one visit with his nutritionist, I realized she was not going to be of much help (not providing useful information) and I transferred the cost of the remaining two sessions with her included in my plan into more supplements. The trigenics treatments (8) for my lower back (plus PEMF therapy, cold laser, mechanical traction, which were included free of charge) may have made a 10-20% improvement in my lumbar stenosis symptoms, but as of this writing (Nov. 2017) that improvement has been negated. The back problems are worse despite daily stretches and core strenthening. I was sold on doing 20 neuro-feedback sessions, and didn’t experience any improvement in my brain functioning/brain fog, short term memory, or sleep. I later learned that someone my age really needs at least 60 sessions on neuro-feedback to make a difference that an individual can feel. Dr. Ian prescribed a LOT of supplements (at least $2000 worth), with barely any result (trying to reduce my blood glucose levels, reduce pressure from my gall bladder, address the hypothyroid/Hashimotos). I never felt Dr. Ian had read my initial health survey or remembered me from visit to visit. When going over lab results, it did not appear that he had read the results before I walked in. One significant example was that I told him I had done 22 monthly liver/gallbladder cleanses between 2009-2011 trying to address my GB pressure, which didn’t result in any improvement. This topic had come up on at least two consultations, but at my last meeting, he suggested I do liver cleanses. This review is especially directed to other seniors, to stop and seriously consider the amount of money Dr. Ian charges, the amount of overhead inherent in his fees, and the level of desperation you feel to get help. It could be that for older people, a longer period of time is needed than his initial assessment would indicate; once you’ve signed on for two months, consider that you might need to go for four, eight, or twelve months. For the money I spent, I wish I had shopped around more, and understood what I was buying. For example, one session with Dr. Ian, for either trigenics or consultation, costs $250, whether it’s 20 or 40 minutes. I wish I had taken it more slowly, one symptom at a time, before charging up my credit card. After nearly $8000, I am still paying off my debt card, not improved, and feeling completely discouraged, not knowing where I go from here.
