Customer Reviews about Dental Aid
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have had my teeth cleaned by Hilllary, the hygienist, for a few years. She is great in every respect. Dr. Mena installed a crown for me and performed other procedures with superb results. The significant cost savings over regular dentists is a bonus.June 16, 2017by Spencer Nelson
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪No comment about doctors, they are great. The front desk staff, however, are pretty disrespectful at times. As others have already mentioned in reviews, there is some lack of professionalism by the girls at the front desk, but, after 2 years with them as a family, I can say it is not very bad... until this happened: One day after my periodic examination, the most experienced girl from the front desk called me asking to pay for it because the insurance is not paying for it. Me: well, my insurance should cover it two times a year and I have never had a problem with them. Front desk girl: sorry, they say it wasn't due. Me: Do you agree with them, was it due or not? Front desk girl: Yeah, sorry, we had the examination too early before it was due. Me: then why did you give me the appointment too early? you have my insurance info and should have taken care of its requirements. Front desk girl: Sorry, mistakes happen, but ultimately it is your mistake! you should have known that this appointment wouldn't have worked with your insurance. Me: So, I trusted you by giving you my insurance info, then you give me a wrong appointment and tell me it is my mistake? Front desk girl: Yes, it is your mistake, because the cost of this job should be paid by insurance or, if they don't, by you. Sorry sir, but you already signed on a paper that you will pay for any job that the insurance denies to cover. Me: Regardless who made the mistake?! how come? just because I signed on a paper you allow yourself to be sloppy on giving out appointments?! Front desk girl: Please sir, don't say I'm sloppy, or I will hang up. Me: Of course you don't like this description, this is exactly what happened but you don't want to admit it. In any case, my insurance do pay for the any dental place that takes good care of the appointments. Obviously this place is not you, and you do not deserve my money or my insurance's money. I have been a customer for two years with my wife and kids, but not any longer with this bad treatment... Goodbye! -------------------- It is unfortunate that I experienced what other reviewers have been talking about. These people have made thousands of dollars from my insurance and from the co-pays that I pay for some major jobs, and the cost of the examination she was asking for is nothing compared to that. It is the principle that they break your trust then blame you for their mistake because of a paper that you signed (although you signed it based on that trust). I wish that this doesn't happen with other patients because a break-of-trust is quite hurtful.May 17, 2017by Originally Tari
