  Great hospital. I see previous reviews and I wanted to share my experience. I've signed my new puppy on a wellness plan and I've been to the hospital 3 different times for routine shots and deworming. The wellness plans saved me a ton of money. The staff here is not only knowledgeable but very friendly. If you're thinking of going to this hospital, don't let the negative reviews deter you. There's always two sides of a story. My experience has been above and beyond great.

  DO NOT go to Banfield for your pets needs. I had the wellness plan for 10 years for my dog. I initially got it when she was just a puppy and was sold on this program with the assumption that I would save so much money over the years. When push comes to shove, with an aging dog, you save nothing! The cost of care is more then a typical vet and with your "discount" you end up paying the same amount if not more then a regular vet (after adding up years of monthly payments). Also, you can not cancel at anytime! My pet has past and I am still paying out the remainder of the year, despite her no longer being alive!! But this is just one aspect of Banfield. The other is that it is nearly impossible to get an actual appointment with a vet! A number of times, I was told to drop of my dog, for an entire day, for one shot or a vaccine is insane. When your pet is actually sick, they still ask for a drop off appointment. I know that in my pets final years I didn't want her to sit in a kennel all day feeling ill. It feels a lot like you spend the entire day in the waiting room at the doctors, just to get a flu shot from a nurse. Additionally, Banfield is over booked with pets so if you are a lucky one and get an in room appointment you may end up waiting for up to an hour (this happen to us more then once). I would highly recommend just going to a local vet who you know that you can see during an office visit and you aren't stuck in a horrible plan that you can't get out of. I am so disappointed in this company.

  The puppy plan has saved me loads of money. I highly recommend Banfield. Doctors are great and easy to communicate with, very flexible in the days I drop off my dog for an all day check up. I came in after work on one of these occasions and was told the doctor let my dog out of the kennel because he was whining a bit, and let him sleep under her desk while she worked. That makes me feel great about bringing my animals here. I recommend Banfield to anyone, especially on the initial years when a puppy plan will save you a fortune with initial shots and spay/neuter. Too bad to see the other negative reviews because this office is great.
