  The first thing that comes to mind when your primary care physician refers you to a Urologist is usually not the word “awesome”. So I made my appointment at Alpine Urology and hoped for the best. Upon entering the office, I was immediately greeted by the super friendly staff working at the front desk. I was spoken to in a professional, yet friendly manner and the staff always had a smile on their faces. I figured they were just buttering me up for what was to come next when I went through the doors. A few minutes later the door opened and my name was called, I got up and was prepared for the worse…but that never happened. Instead I was greeted by a wonderfully professional, polite and friendly assistant that explained what was going to happen during my visit. After providing my urine sample, we chatted for a few minutes and told me the doctor would be right in. Just like clockwork, the doctor came in and asked me to sit down. Within a few seconds I could immediately tell that Dr. John Kefer was going to be an awesome doctor. We spoke about my condition and you could immediately tell he was genuinely concerned. I have to say that Dr. Kefer is one of the kindest and sharpest doctors I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was very easy to talk to and I really appreciated that he spoke to me in a manner that was easy to understand, unlike some doctors that try to impress you with technical terms. I was scheduled for an ultrasound a few weeks after my initial exam, and I am happy to say that the entire staff was just as friendly as my initial visit. Dr. Kefer performed the ultrasound and explained everything that was going on during the exam, he also happily answered every one of my questions. I cannot thank Dr. Kefer and his staff enough for treating me with a level of respect and professionalism that I have never experienced before in a doctor’s office. If you someday find yourself having to fine a urologist, please don’t hesitate to give these awesome people an opportunity to help you.
